Talking Aftermarket Wheel Thread

If you're like me then the stock 2017 Type R wheels just don't cut it, although they might for winter/beater duty. Since most buyers coming to the Type R either plan to swap wheels or dream of the day, use this thread to post and discuss about it. Feel free to go into as much detail as required (size, center bore, width, build quality, reviews, flaws, etc.)

A couple wheels that interest me so far are the following:

ENKEI RACING GTCO1RR (Matte Dark Gunmetallic)

ENKEI RFP1 (Bright Silver Metallic)

these are nice but I personally prefer TE37's or any classic wheel style like that which used to be popular on Honda's, lucky enough for us most of those look good on today's line up of Civic's. Here's a perfect example of what I want to see on the Type R:

Problem with aftermarket wheels when it comes to the Type R is the missing red trim. Feel like that detracts from the overall look when it's missing. There aren't a lot of options out there with red trim, but I did find a set set from Team Dynamics, called Jet RS gloss.

Red trim is the last thing on my list, top priority is getting a wheel design that actually look good and can be had in the dimensions we need it in everything else is secondary. those wheels are ugly

Blunt and to the point. To each their own when it comes to tires, but you have to make sure they fit properly. doers anyone know the Bolt pattern?

I assume the Bolt pattern is the same as the standard Civic hatchback, so you can start looking there and see what's available.

Would that not change with the different brake disc in the Type R?

From what I can see it will just be 5x120, I can't see that changing but of course its everything else, specifically with accommodating for the caliper.... an obvious one.

What's a good brand you guys tend to veer towards? There are so many options out there, it can become slightly overwhelming.

I find it hard to deviate from Eneki since I have been used to them on the typical Japanese cars and compacts I like. You should start by looking for the style of wheel you want then start thinking about which brands do that style best or within your budget.
